Bjarke Ingels Group “BIG” won the design competition for the project, after literally fifty or so iterations. Their final design was the twin spiral towers with a forest pedestal underneath. Coconut Grove’s identity is closely tied to its untamed jungle-like vegetation. Thus, the theme was to create a landscape in tune with the surrounds.
